Explain how to validate the CSS used to style one (or more) of your web pages.
As it does for XHTML, the W3C provides a site for validating the CSS used to style our web pages. In the case of CSS validation, we don't need any “boiler plate” code (DOCTYPE, and so on) that we needed for XHTML. The process itself is very similar, but there are a couple of things to keep in mind. First, if your CSS is in a separate file, you can simply enter the URL of that file into the validator to validate the CSS in that file. You can also enter the URL of an XHTML document into the validator, and in this case all of the CSS used to style that document will be validated, whether it is in an external file, at the document level in the document itself, or inline in some of the elements of the document. This is obviously more convenient if you want to have all of your CSS validated at once. If you are only making use of a single external file, the two approaches are equivalent.
